Custom Modular Enclosures Protect Industrial Equipment
November 23, 2010
Porta-King Building Systems manufactures custom designed modular enclosures for wide range of industrial applications. This particular modular enclosures features a custom-designed, bi-parting door, which opens in the corner to facilitate moving large equipment in and out of the enclosure. The panel finish for this modular enclosure includes a reinforced frp (fiberglass reinforced plastic) finish on lower panel sections to protect against damage and scratches from pallet jacks and other moving equipment. A solid core panelized roof improves insulation and sound control. This panelized roof is also a popular choice for our modular equipment enclosures because this design maximizes the interior clearance because the panels are connected directly to the top of the wall panel. With this design we are able keep wall panel height to a minimum while creating the interior ceiling height necessary for the machinery that will be housed inside the enclosure. This helps reduce cost and may play a role in avoiding existing over head obstruction that could interfere with the installation. Another avantage to using our panels to create the roof is that this composition of this design includes a non-shedding painted steel surface. Non-shedding surfaces are typically preferred for modular enclosures that are used to house sensitive equipment that might be adversely effected by particulate matter that could "shed" off of alternative roof / ceiling designs like acoustical tile or other shedding material.
We've built our business by providing our customers with innovative, modular building solutions that not only address their construction needs, but they do so in a way that also saves them time and money when compared to a conventionally constructed alternative.
