From hospitals, universities and museums to retail stores, court houses and more, Porta-King portable, prefabricated buildings are playing an increasingly larger role in commercial, industrial and government building projects.

Porta-King exterior buildings are being used for guard booths, equipment enclosures, parking attendant booths, ticket kiosks, press boxes, scale houses and in a number of other custom applications.

Our exterior buildings provide a convenient solution to companies and organizations that need a new building, but don’t have the time, space or resources to accomplish a traditional construction project. Because Porta-King portable buildings are constructed off-site simultaneous to foundation and other site work there is virtually no down time or disruption in the area the building will ultimately be located.   This is especially important in high traffic areas or in areas where critical business operations take place.

Unlike our competitors that offer a very narrow focus of product offerings, we provide our customers the industries widest selection of construction options.  We do so to address the ever growing list of applications that can require a wide range of design features.  We manufacturer two different types of steel (Durasteel and Durasteel PC) and anodized aluminum (Duraluminum) enclosures.  All three construction types are custom designed to meet your specific project requirements and are built with the highest quality materials and components to ensure years of trouble free service.

The construction option we recommend for your portable building will depend on the design features required, or requested, for the individual application.  Our steel buildings (Durasteel and Durasteel PC) are used when custom shapes for the roof or walls are to be included.  Customers can also choose rounded corners and ends, horizontal and vertical wall and roof reveals as well as many other unique design features.  Steel is also the preferred method of construction for the ballistic rated portable buildings we manufacture.  Ballistic ratings include UL 752 Levels 1-8 and NIJ Level lV.

The construction of our Duraluminum buildings is accomplished by assembling the various custom anodized aluminum shapes we stock into the final structure.  The anodized aluminum construction used in for Duraluminum creates a completely maintenance free structure ideal of areas with harsh weather conditions or along coastal areas where the salty sea air is so prevalent.  Duraluminum buildings can also include a variety of exterior features like factory installed brick, standing seam roofs, custom window configurations and glazing.

All of our portable buildings can include a long list of interior finish features to enhance the functionality of the structure for the purpose it was built.  A short list of interior design features includes custom cabinetry and other casework, custom electric including explosion proof and even factory plumbed restrooms

Porta-King’s prefabricated buildings are delivered to your site completely assembled, code compliant and ready for occupancy.  They also come fully wired in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
