Sports Video and Viewing Towers

All Porta-King viewing towers are designed in strict compliance with local codes including the stringent standards for seismic ground motion calculations required under the IBC 2006.  This ensures that all towers, including those produced for use in football and other sports video taping, are safe for users.  This includes not only tower occupants, like guards providing security services or personnel in charge of operating video equipment at sporting events who occupy the top of the tower but also those individuals who might be walking around the surrounding area below.

We use heavy-duty structural steel components to create an incredibly rigid framework of support for the platform to ensure the safety of personnel and their equipment. 

Our standard design for viewing towers, like those used in video taping for football and other sporting events, includes all galvanized steel components to guard against the effects of harsh weather.  A painted steel surface is also available as an option.  Our paint finish consists of an industrial grade coating with an extremely durable polyurethane acrylic paint to resist nicks and scratches even in the harshest environments. Our standard paint color is gray, but optional colors are available.
